Dave is a former MSP and recognized industry thought leader. He is also the CEO of MSP Advisor, where he and his team work with managed services companies throughout North America and the UK on their business and financial operations. Like many former MSP owners, Dave is a techie at heart, and previously helped grow a 12-person VAR into an 85-person market-leading managed services company, before exiting. Dave spends much of his time facilitating peer groups and leading MSP executive programs around the world.

Robert has worked closely with hundreds of leading MSPs around the world through his work launching N-able's Business Transformation program. He frequently leads executive programs for MSPs ranging from $2M in revenue to $100M+, and was named a Channel Chief by CRN in 2024. Along with Dave, he co-created the innovative MSP Industry Benchmark. Robert has previously led growth at companies ranging from start-ups to several hundred million in revenue and is the co-author of "Profit and Growth for MSPs: Dragon Boats, Catamarans, and Supertyachts.

This book encompasses combined knowledge/metrics from a large number of MSPs and breaks down the data into practical thoughts that lead to growth strategies. The authors are legends in the MSP space and I found it to be an entertaining read. I now share a desire to make data driven decisions over gut feel decisions in my MSP.
